Thirty years
of getting dirty.
Liventia began in 1990, cleaning up Texas oil spills with bacteria. The same discipline that made microbes work in some of the toughest ground on earth now powers biological programs for agriculture across the US and Mexico.
Empowering the future of sustainable food production through resilient biology.
The Liventia Team
Ian leads Liventia as CEO, setting strategy for the company’s next stage of growth. He brings nearly two decades of agribusiness experience across crop protection, plant nutrition, commercial operations and digital platforms.
From 2022 to 2025, Ian was at Farmers Business Network, first as Country Manager for U.S. Ag Inputs and then as SVP of Platform Development. Earlier, he directed sales and marketing at Alligare and managed the plant nutrition and biostimulants portfolio at Loveland Products, seeing biologicals from both the product and the channel side. He joined Liventia in 2025 and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Hampden-Sydney College.
Jack leads strategy and business operations, pairing intentional culture, strategic planning, data and technology with hands-on operating leadership so teams can develop and perform at their best.
Jack has built and scaled complex businesses across agriculture, e-commerce, retail and technology. He spent six years in product management at Amazon, ran middle-mile operations at Wayfair, led middle and last-mile transportation at Target, and was most recently SVP of Global Logistics and Customer Experience at Farmers Business Network. He joined Liventia in 2026, advises growth-stage companies on strategy, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Fernando leads operations and regulatory affairs, working between Culiacán and San Antonio. He brings 20 years in agricultural inputs, specializing in production, logistics and compliance, and an engineer’s data-driven approach to scaling the business.
Before joining Liventia in 2020, Fernando was administration and operations manager at EIA, an irrigation systems company, and spent nine years as operations manager at Nhorticultura, a biostimulants and pesticides business in Culiacán. He began his career supervising manufacturing production in Tijuana. He holds a B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from Tecnológico de Culiacán and an M.S. in Applied Numerical Methods from CITEDI-IPN, a quantitative background he applies to systems optimization, supply chain planning and customer-focused decisions grounded in market insight.
Rhett leads Liventia's agricultural business in the United States, growing it from early adoption into a statewide network of growers, PCAs and retail partners. A multi-generational Butte County farmer, he first came to Liventia as a customer and has used its soil biology on his own ground and across his consulting clients since 2012. He believes results are read in the field, not in claims.
Rhett has led U.S. agricultural business development at Liventia since 2022. In 2011 he founded Terra Management Partners, a farm asset management and consulting firm in Chico, California, that he still runs as principal. He joined Sole Terra Farming in Butte County as field manager in 2008 and has been its general manager since 2015. He studied plant and soil science and hydrology at California State University, Chico, and has more than 13 years of applied practice in the Albrecht/Reams soil fertility framework.
Alelhi leads business development in Mexico, driving market expansion, customer adoption, strategic partnerships and sustainable profitability. She brings more than 20 years across commercial strategy, marketing, product development, finance and project management.
Alelhi joined the company in 2021 as USA Business Project Director and has led the Mexico business since 2023. Earlier, she held marketing and business development leadership roles at Marine Eden, Grupo Promomedios Radio and 360 Stock Publicidad, was an associate director in private banking at Actinver, and taught at Tecmilenio and Tecnológico de Monterrey. That cross-industry range shapes how she turns market insight into growth strategy. She holds master’s degrees in Finance (EUDE Business School) and Marketing (Tecnológico de Monterrey), a B.A. in Business Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and studied at the Université Paris-Sorbonne.

Two seats at the leadership table are open. If you have built biological programs with growers, we should talk.
Work with us →Liventia’s science team takes biology from the genome to the field. Discovery work sequences and characterizes the strain library, resolving individual strains and consortia at the genomic level. Operational biology turns those strains into products that can be made consistently and delivered to market. Applied and field science proves them out through seed treatment, in-furrow and foliar programs, so what goes in the jug performs where growers need it.
Eric holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Princeton and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. His career spans basic research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the University of Wisconsin, biotech work on growth factors and single-chain antibodies, and 16 years at Mad City Labs designing and bringing to market custom microscopy systems for single-molecule biology. He joined Liventia in 2026 to lead the science team and deliver microbiome-based products to market.
Peter is an evolutionary biologist and bioinformatician with a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from UC Berkeley, where he was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and a B.S. from UC Riverside. He bridges plant and microbial genomics to decode the interactions that drive crop performance. At Liventia since 2023, he built the sequencing pipelines behind the company’s whole genome sequencing program and IP strategy, and is now pushing genomic resolution down to individual strains and consortia.
Richard holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and Microbiology from UC Riverside and a B.S. in Biology from Troy University. He has developed and applied ag biologicals through seed treatment, in-furrow and foliar systems at Cool Planet, Indigo Ag and Pivot Bio, where he led product stewardship. His focus is the last mile of the product pipeline: turning promising R&D into solutions that hold up in the field. He joined Liventia in 2026.
Taylor holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). At Liventia, she bridges Discovery and Operational Sciences, translating microbial research into standardized, reproducible processes that support production and quality control.
